4 Ways to Wear Striped, Menswear-inspired Shirts By Tamu McPherson
I have a thing with striped, menswear-inspired shirts. The more whimsical, the better. I loved them growing up, when I dressed up preppy and paired them with jeans, Bass loafers, Converse, Vans or Nikes. I fell for them hard when I began dating my Italian husband who wore them to class during law school. Yes he has his initials monogrammed under his chest. And when I moved to Milan, I fell even deeper in love with the array of fine sartorial shirting on full display in the city and across the country. Now that my favorite brands have gotten the memo and are putting on their best shirts, I’m in “top” paradise. Unable to get enough of them, in this video I style my 4 favorite ones from this and next season.
Look One: Sandy Liang Shirt, & Other Stories Lace Blouse, Rosie Assoulin Trousers, Prada Shoes, Marco De Vincenzo Handbag.
Look Two: Jaquemus Shirt, Balenciaga Jeans, Miu Miu Shoes, Hermes Handbag.
Look Three: CO|TE Shirt and Skirt, Blaze Blazer, Prada Shoes, Rare Origin Earrings.
Look Four: Mantu Shirt Dress, Vetements Jeans, Prada Shoes, 3.1 Phillip Lim Handbag, Celine Earrings.
Here are 11 of my other favorite striped, menswear-inspired shirts. Don’t forget to click the image to shop the items.
