Happy New Year Pretty Birds,
As we make our way through a January for the books, I couldn’t help but kick the year off right with some much needed style therapy. Stepping into a fresh mindset and welcoming positive energy, I was eager to share with you some of my favorite outfits from last week. Hitting the reset button can be challenging, but sometimes all it takes is putting on your creative hat to get into the groove of new habits. For me, that creative hat happens to be style! In my new series “Tamu’s Style Diary” I decided to document the looks that truly spark joy; after all, it’s the little things right? In this week’s edit, keep up with me for pointers on how to style bold and comfortable looks for the season.
Introducing Tamu’s Style Diary: How to Style Bold and Comfortable Looks
Bold Style Tips From What I Wore Last Week…
For the fashion lover looking to bring balance to their closet, pivoting between an aesthetic that is both bold and comfortable; yes, you can have the best of both worlds! When it comes to style, sometimes the question is not “less or more?” but “where and how?” Follow along for pro tips on styling your boldest looks with coziest of vibes.
Tip #1: Look for compatible patterns when working with bold neutrals.
Tip #2: Recreate a mood by taking inspiration from signature brand styles (ie. Gucci and affinity for prints).
Tip #3: Unexpected bold pairings are the most rewarding style risks to take, especially in jewel tones.
Tip #4: Mixing bold colors of the same family is okay and a plain white tee does wonders beside neon.
Tip #5: If you are uncertain if your outfit is too bold, denim is always a great option to boost your casual vibe.
Tip #6: When styling for “chic” comfort, don’t be shy about multidimensional layering, volume, or texture!
Thanks for keeping up with me this week!
