The New ATPB
In June 2022, after almost 15 years online, ATPB relaunched in its reimagined form: a highly edited, intimate and purposeful monthly publication. We are here for good conversation, community expansion, understanding, and real talk. We are also here to celebrate the diverse and storied personalities that make style and beauty possible for - and accessible to - the whole world. No exclusions.
Welcome to the new ATPB. We're so excited that you are here.
About All the Pretty Birds
ATPB was created in 2008 by creative and digital talent Tamu McPherson, based on the street style she captured at international fashion weeks and her home in Milan. In the past 14 years the site has evolved into a global community whose passion for style and expression extends into the closely-tied relatives of beauty, wellness, self, community and world events.
Born in Jamaica. Raised in New York. Now residing in Milan.
I launched All the Pretty Birds in November 2008. Before becoming Editor-in-Chief of Grazia.it in February 2011, I had the great pleasure of contributing to amazing digital and print publications such as Glamour U.S., Harper’s Bazaar U.S., Metro and Refinery 29. I also held the position of Style Director at Out There, an international creative agency.
Resume aside, I am a lion, distracted daydreamer, hopeless romantic, pretty in pink, fiercely loyal, genetically engineered to seek out the happiness of my loved ones, simplistically idealistic, a champion for the underdog, too sensitive at times, and just plain human.
Our Hair Don't Care is a beauty focus developed by ATPB in 2018 to bring the rich and diverse stories of our multi-generational relationship to our hair to the center stage of media, as an alternative to the typically tokenized, sporadic story told by traditional media. We feature people whose lives and ancestry are intertwined with their hair journey, and what that relationship means to each individual. Discover more >>>
TAMU'S CAFE is a feature developed by ATPB in 2016 that brings together Tamu's multi-cultural and globally-informed love of food and community to a warm, conversational discovery feature with a friend. Meant to emulate the sort of rambling, deep and nourishing meal we might share late night with your inner circle, we discuss a variety of topics focused on the interests and passions of the guest.
