10 Beauty Looks From Paris Fashion Week to Try ASAP

Fashion month is over. Paris brought this month dedicated to Spring/Summer fashion shows to a close with a week chock-full of events. We Pretty Birds closely followed the events and have put together a list of our favorite beauty looks we saw backstage.

The look here is late ‘60s early ‘70s and was inspired by a famous artist, Niki de Saint-Phalle, who frequented the Maison regularly at that time. The beauty look focuses on eyes with cloggy lashes and a stroke of black eyeliner along the lower lash line. The look is fresh, simple a little “jeune fille,” and a bit “rebel girl.”

Anne Demeulemeester

The most romantic hair look spotted on the runways was the one seen at Demeulemeester. Accessories add an original gothic touch.

Instead of lipstick, the makeup at Peter Philips saw Swarovski crystals applied to lips and around eyes. Hairstylist Sam McKnight also used the same crystals for the hair look in order to emphasize parts dividing the locks.

Luminous skin and coloured cheeks characterized the beauty look donned by models at Dick Page. The inspiration? The paintings of Johannes Vermeer – that’s why the models were wearing bands in their hair.

Glitter mania on the catwalk at Jour/Ne: makeup was nude for the rest of the face while eyes were dressed in a cascade of silver glitter, making them the protagonists of this beauty look. You can try too, perhaps choosing different colors and pairing them with a neutral lipstick.

Complexion is glow for a finish that is “out of this world”: this trend has already been popular this season and will be even more so next season. Choose a silver/lilac illuminator if you want to get the look.

Saint Laurent

Lips are fire engine red: the classic red lipstick knows no seasons and will be a hot trend for the Spring/Summer 2018 season. Saint Laurent knows this all too well and chose a short bob, rock style hair look for his models.

A soft wave effect for the top section of hair and asymmetrical hair looks enhanced by movement and volume: this is what hair stylist Alexander Dinter, creative Director at La Biosthétique Paris, proposed.

Blue smokey eyes blu and cherry red lips define the makeup look at Tom Pecheux’s fashion shows. A touch of glam is added thanks to the hair looks created by Sam McNight which saw ponytails wrapped in transparent, plastic tubes.
