The Salone del Mobile in Milan has become a cult event for those who love design, but did you know it’s also one of the most important international events of its kind? The city is already preparing a schedule of truly rich events. We here at ATPB have put together a calendar so that you won’t miss out on any of the fun! If you are passionate about beauty the way we are, here’s what you should be penciling into your agenda. See you around!
Sephora and Kat Von D – Sephora is gearing up to conquer Design Week with work inspired by American tattoo artist Kat Von D which will be reinterpreted by the London studio ANOTHER SPACE. The work entitled Keeled Studded Kiss along with Kat Von D’s arrival in Italy will be honoured with an inauguration event on the evening of April 4th, at the Università degli Studi. A 28-piece orchestra will welcome guests and help them immerse themselves in both the material and intangible world of the artist.

Diptyque – The luxury fragrance and luxury goods company will be taking part in Design Week for the first time ever and will be presenting its new diffuser called Sablier. Internationally renowned Italian artist Felice Limosani has developed a project in honour of this. The work will be exhibited as part of the “A Matter of Perception: LINKING MINDS” project. Also, the Sablier will be available for worldwide purchase exclusively at the Milan boutique.

Deborah Milano – “SKIN CASE. Second skin. From White to Nude” is an installation designed by Studio Mamo where you’ll find products form Deborah Milano’s Formula Pura line, the brand’s line of natural products. Visitors can create a personal interpretation of the nude concept which will be captured on a color card found inside the space.

Jo Malone – Jo Malone London is hosting a 100% made in Italy project inside its store, Derriereitalia. While artist Guido Daniele personalizes Jo Malone’s famous custom gift packages, Derriereitalia will be presenting sartorial bike seat, handmade by Venetian master artisans, and in collaboration Hermès, Etro, Rubelli, Dedar, Kvadrat e Abip by Russo di Casandrino.

When: cocktail April 4, from 5 – 9pm.
Lierac e Phyto – If you are passionate about yoga, you’ll want to write this next event down. It is in collaboration with RUN4ME Lieracc. If, on the other hand, you love floral hairdos, you’ll have full access to Hair Bar service with their team of hairstylists, headed by Marco Rizzi Namu Hair.

When: from April 4 to 7; Yoga: from 9 to 11am; Hair Bar from 4 to 6pm.
Framesi – In collaboration with Takara Belmont Italy, Framesi invites you to an experience dedicated to hair. Along with other stylists, you can created a personalized look and share it on social media using the hashtag #HairDesignedByFramesi. Also, you could be chosen to be one of the brand’s ambassadors during their next campaign.

Avery Perfume Decanters – Special objects, perfect for fragrances but also to hold flowers or to creatively and elegantly store other objects, these decanters were made by glass-maker maestro, Pietro Viero, under the guidance of Celso Fadelli, President of Intertrade Group. Those of you who are passionate about fragrance can fully enjoy the scents along with the modern and contemporary touch of glass which elegantly combines space, shapes, air and materials.

When: from April 4 to 9, from 10 to 7pm, must reserve.
Lo Scalone – An open square: a symbolic space in the culture and lifestyle of Italians is what first inspired Michele De Lucchi who uses Lo Scalone to interpret Scent of Life – the scent of life, the concept behind the new men’s fragrance by Salvatore Ferragamo. It is an elixir of pure Italian style. The installation will also act as a stage for the awards ceremony which will reward the three winners of the International photo contest, Scent of Life Talent Awards, promoted by Ferragamo Parfums.
Where: Western open gallery at Università degli Studi di Milano (University of Milan).
When: until April 15, on occasion of the exhibition event, “Interni Material Immaterial”.
Aesop – On the occasion of the Fuorisalone, Aesop will be presenting two projects at its Milan boutiques. The Brera location will present a preview of the “Cast Impressions” collection by Australian designer Henry Wilson. The showcase will feature wall lamps and handmade bronze accessories which will be on display in the store for the entire week. The Corse Magenta location, on the other hand, will host an installation created by Sabine Marcelis, in collaboration with FRAME magazine.
