End of Summer Makeup

End of Summer Makeup
For many, summer has come to an end. There is a way, however, to extend that carefree feeling so typical of summer… via our skin. End of summer makeup becomes light and luminous but also bold when focused on lips. We’re recommending some beauty looks to say goodbye to summer properly, that is, having fun using powders and lipsticks and learning how to pair them and mix them the right way.
Key word: luminous makeup
The objective is to enhance skin colour by focusing on the interplay between light and shadow and how this exalts features. Use illuminating powders and bronzers well; they should be applied small amounts only in certain areas of the face, not everywhere. Use the bronzer to outline a 3 starting from the temples, while the luminous powders will be used to draw a 3 starting from the temple. Finally, illuminate the central parte of the nose and philtrum.
Metallic or Warm Shades of Eyeshadow
For eyes, choose satin or iridescent formulas as well as metallic ones if the shade you’ve selected is cooler (blue or purple are our favourite shades). Also, say yes to all warm powders like bronze, beige, caramel and gold and to blending them together to create a minimal makeup look or to add a touch of intensity to your eye makeup by creating the perfect smokey eye.
Focus on lips
Not just gloss or shimmer lipsticks: lips are dressed in intense colours with a matte finish, this season’s hottest trend. Our advice? If you go for a makeup look with bold lips make sure the rest of your makeup is simple, minimal and essential and avoid overdoing it.
Say yes to pink
If you choose a romantic and versatile pink makeup look, avoid the “all over” effect. Our advice? Go for a pop colour eyeliner, avoid blush in the same shade as your lipstick and if in doubt, choose a nude makeup look for your eyes or apply a simple stroke of eyeliner along your upper lash line.
No makeup makeup
Makeup is extremely minimal: sculpting is subtle, eyebrows are well-defined and combed and lips are hydrated. Instead of foundation, you can use a primer that evens out skin tone and illuminates the face: it is one of our favourite solutions for obtaining the perfect complexion in summer.
