Between jetting city to city during fashion month, handling all the fashion and social content at Bergdorf Goodman, and being named one of Forbes’s 30 under 30 last year, saying Chloe King is a busy gal would be a bit of an understatement. But every time I’ve gotten the chance to meet this powerhouse #girlboss, she effortlessly exudes a quirky inventive chicness that is truly inspiring. So when the opportunity came to pick her brain about what will be making its way into her closet this season, we leapt at the chance.

One of her favorite seasons to dress in, Chloe says, “Fall fashion is the best – you get to experiment with layers, and have a more playful attitude. With hot summers and blustery winters comes the need for practicality/functional fashion – you’re dressing for the elements. Fall? Not so much. I think designers feel this too, and always dial it up and get creative. The Prada Fall 2017 show is a master class in the BEST fall textures, quirky combinations and exuberant dressing.”

SPOTS

“I’m usually a stripes girl but for some reason polka dots feel so good right now!”

SOCKS WITH SHOES

The spring runway gave me fresh inspiration for this quirky combination. From mannish brogues to satin sandals, adding a sock is an instant (and easy) jolt of energy to any look.

THE LEATHER TRENCH COAT

From oversized to slim cut, there are leather trench coats in so many fresh colors and silhouettes this season. This coat will have legs to get you all the way through to Spring.

SOMETHING CRAZY

I am an adventurous dresser and am usually drawn to the bizarro.  Yellow fur coat covered in plastic? Swoon. Voluminous mixed print Simone Rocha? Need. The more outrageous the better.

FALL TROPICAL

Florals usually feel prissy but there’s something cool and a little retro about a tropical botanical print. I love the contrast of a hibiscus flower on a fur hobo bag, or the red poppies on a tweed Gucci jacket.
